This post has been a long time coming for me. Finally, I have taken the plunge and begun my own blog. As a global educator and technology integrator, I have implemented the web and its tools into my instruction in efforts to prepare students for the ever changing expectations of the 21st century. At last I have taken my own advice and started to share my ideas and thoughts with others. I am excited and scared – the transparency is a little daunting. What if I make a mistake? What if others are critical? I think these are thoughts and fears for many of us. I do feel, however, that I need to model what I teach. I also believe that we have so much to learn from one another. This, of course, is the reason I have titled my blog “Learning in Concert”.
Through this blog I look to reflect on my teaching, share with others my learning, and seek the knowledge of many. I am excited to learn together. At the core of my teaching is the belief in collaboration and its power for innovation and understanding. What an exciting time in my teaching journey.
